Proof That Nobody Would Care If Unicorns Existed

d
How I can make such a claim is because basically a unicornesque creature does exist, and though most are familiar with this animal few could name it or say that they've given the creature more than a moment's passing thought.

This animal is much larger than a horse, has a single spiraling tusk (an extended incisor actually) which can grow to be 10 feet long, is rarely encountered in the wild, and is exclusive to the Arctic region.

Interesting facts about the Narwhal:

-One of two species of white whale (the other being the beluga) the Narwhal is related to the Irrawaddy dolphin.

-Legend has it that inhabitants of the Arctic region thousands of years ago found a Narwhal washed up on the beach. They assumed it was a horse whose legs had rotted off. Thus, the myth of the unicorn was born.

-Narwhal means "corpse whale" in Old Norse, named for the color of its skin. It is also known as the "Moon Whale."
